My first blog will be about a huge event that organized by my college's club - Waltz With Love 2. It was held on 29th July 2013, at UTAR Students Pavillion 2, Perak campus. It's a breaking records event which targeted pairs of couples to dance waltz together, and the event was jointly organized by UTAR's Young Entrepreneurship Society, Entrepreneurship Society and Dance Club. Wow, it sounds wonderful right? Yes! Of course! Because the event succeed to break the Malaysia Book of Records with 234 pairs of couples!!! How amazing it is...
The reason that I'm feeling proud of it because I'm one of the instructors for this event, yay! We put much effort to make the event success. It needs much of patience and time to teach all the participants the waltz steps, seriously it's not easy. But, we did enjoy it! During the middle of January, our main instructor recruited dancers to learn the basic steps. We spent about 3 months to learn all the basic steps and the sequences of the routine, and also to negotiate with our own partner. As a dancer, I really glad to join this because I've learned more from this event. Not only this, we earned much too, the friendship, the appreciation from lovely participants and the sweet memories that we couldn't forget.
Not to forget, we worked hard together with the dancers of dance club and the event committee to promote the event. We did a lot of performances, road shows, etc...Non-stop practicing until the event day! That's why, when the event was successfully held, it's touching. There's a lot of surprises, some performances and games on the event day too, again, one word to describe this event - Awesome!
